  • Reinforced steel wire pellets are made from steel wire and are divided into stainless steel wire pellets and high carbon/low-carbon steel wire pellets. They come in two forms: cylindrical and passivated pellets. It has no hollow or air holes inside, and a dense and uniform structure. Its service life is usually 1-2 times longer than that of cast steel shot. It is commonly used for precision parts, stainless steel parts, and aluminum castings. After shot blasting, it is less likely to contaminate the workpiece and has better wear resistance.
    The main advantages of strengthening steel wire round balls are:
    The surface coverage of the processed workpiece is better;
    Low dust and pollution during use are beneficial for improving the working environment.
    Cast steel pellets are made from steel shavings through processes such as melting, high-pressure water injection molding, quenching, and tempering. They are divided into 11 particle size grades according to SAE standards and can meet different process requirements such as surface strengthening.
    There are obvious deficiencies in the cast steel shot:
    The casting process is prone to producing hollows and pores, resulting in low uniformity and wear resistance;
    There is a lot of dust during use, which has adverse effects on the working environment and occupational health.
